Arab Times, June 19, 2010: Husband’s wife beaten up
An unidentified American woman has been arrested by police for assaulting her friend, believed to be a Moroccan woman, reports Al-Anba daily.
This came when the Moroccan filed a complaint with the Abu Halifah police accusing the American of entering her apartment and severely beating her. She also submitted a medical report to substantiate her claim. The report showed injuries to the nose.
During interrogation at the police station, the American admitted to beating the Moroccan. She said she left for the US on emergency leave and when she returned she caught the Moroccan flirting with her American husband of Arab origin.
She added she later discovered the Moroccan had lured her husband into marrying her and the two are now husband and wife. The case has been referred to the Public Prosecution.
