Modern Day Cinderella

Whenever something bad happens in your life it's important to have your friends and loved ones around you for support. This is when you find out who is truly there for you no matter what. I'm very fortunate because I came to Kuwait alone and my family lives in the USA. I've managed to make friends with a lovely group of girls that are my Kuwait family. We are always there for each other during the good times and the bad. Girls night out, shopping, coffee shops, the seaside, weekend getaways, financial stress, illness, falling in love, broken hearts, feeling homesick and missing our families.

Having a man in your life that adores you is always a bonus. Someone who makes you feel like a Princess when you just came home from work where a sandstorm kicked your ass. You have sand in everything from your windblown, long, blonde hair to your new, pink, Victoria Secret panties. It's wonderful to have a man who cherishes you and is willing to take care of you in every way.

I feel in the year 2010 women should be able to take care of themselves. I'm not talking about total equality or women paying on dates. There is nothing more attractive than a gentleman. What I mean is that when the guy of your dreams offers to support you financially (car, house, etc.) unless he is your husband you shouldn’t accept but learn to stand on your own two feet. It's always nice to receive a genuine offer from someone you really care about but a modern day Cinderella should always take care of herself. Of course, romantic gifts, dinners and travel is certainly okay in my book ;P

Having a man love you for your physical appearance, intelligence, personality and sense of humor is wonderful but taking care of yourself will win his respect and give you a sense of pride.

Ever After is one of my favorite Drew Barrymore Movies.  When I was a young girl I saw the film in NYC.  After the movie ended everyone stood and clapped in the theater.  If you haven't seen it I highly recommend that you do.
