I just finished reading the above article on how Sweden is the best country for women. True, there are several good reasons: one year of maternity leave, real equality in the work place, women can become priests and Swedish men do over 50% of the house work.
Then there are some other things mentioned that wouldn't be my cup of tea: Swedish women are encouraged to date many men at once and that doesn't just mean go to dinner and a movie. Multiple sexual partners and one night stands are the norm and never frowned upon. That would seriously break the Belle Code!
What I don't like about life in Sweden outweighs the positive things. Such as: Swedish men rarely open doors for women, ask them out or pay for dates. Basically Swedish men are too lazy (that's what the article says) to court women. Then there is the fact that Swedes pay a huge chunk of their salary towards taxes (socialism). Hey, has Obama vacationed in Sweden lately??? Alcohol is freaking expensive! Yikes, no future holiday plans for Sweden! ;-)
Hey, some advice for single men living here, book your next vacation to Sweden. Swedish women are beautiful, tan in their birthday suit on public beaches and will pay for their share of the date! It's cheaper than Thailand in the end because one night stands are socially acceptable and you don't have to pay for some "me love you long time"! Alcohol should be a non-issue and the only downer is you might have to give the massage instead of receive. Happy Travels! Wink Wink!
