Expat and the City is One Year's Old on March 7th!
It's hard to believe that it's been one year since I first started this little expat blog about my life in Kuwait. My first post seems like it was light years away. I would like to do something original to celebrate Expat and the City's one year anniversary. I've given it a lot of thought and I hope you like what I came up with...
I decided to use this post to thank all of the lovely bloggers, readers and commenter's who have supported me throughout this year. You are all amazing and making 'new friends' through this blog has been the highlight of my first year.
In order to fulfill my plan I searched high and low to find a widget that would tell me who my top commenter is for this year. I tried one widget after the next, posted in forums and nothing worked. When I was just about to give up I found a top commenter widget that worked. (You can see this widget located on the right sidebar by scrolling down.)
I suspected the leading commenter might be a certain professor or maybe my Stiggy but I wasn't sure. I plugged in the widget and there it was in pink and white, Dr. Mo (formally Mo) was my top commenter by far. My readers will know that I often call him Dr. Mo Mo and he writes the sweetest comments on this blog. The Stig (Stiggy as I affectionately call him) came in second. Both are Kuwaitis who I didn't know before my blog and I have never met them in person. They have really supported me throughout the year and I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart.
I also want to list all of the Top 10 Commenter's below and thank each of them for taking the time to not only read my posts but to comment as well. :* :* :*

For my # 1 Commenter: Dr. Mo Mo
I would like to send you the Camp Arifjan souvenirs (see picture below) to congratulate you. I forgot to add the lanyard in the picture but you will receive that as well. I would also like to extend an invite for dinner to any restaurant of your choosing in Kuwait. Yep, that means you would get to meet me and dine with me in Kuwait. Loool! A "friends" dinner where I get to thank you in person for your support. You are welcome to bring someone with you if that would make you feel more comfortable. I would then invite one of my closest American friends as well. For my protection I will have a very LARGE knife hidden underneath the table. Teeheehee, just kidding.
I will meet you at the restaurant of your choice and treat you to the dinner of your dreams. ;) I hope you will pick somewhere amazing for dinner that I have never been to before. If you are not able to attend or prefer not to meet me in person then I will arrange for something special as your prize. I will send it through Aramex to respect your privacy with the Camp Arifjan souvenirs.
Congratulations Dr. Mo Mo!
Thank you again to all of ExpatandtheCity’s readers, commenter’s and fellow bloggers. You guys rock! :* Thank you to my closest friends who have supported this blog, contributed to the posts and sent me pictures or ideas. I feel very lucky and privileged to have all of you in my life.
xoxo E&TC
