According to security sources police received information that three men - one of them a taxi driver — were involved in kidnapping maids.
The same sources said the taxi driver and the other two men lured the maids that they can find work with good salary and after winning their confidence took the maids to an apartment in Hassawi and sold them to pimps.
The pimps then locked the maids into cage-like apartments with metal doors and forced them into prostitution.
Acting on information security man raided the apartment and arrested two men while the third escaped.
Police are said to have rescued scores of maids from the apartment. The maids and the suspects have been referred to the concerned authorities.

Expat Ladies (especially maids) ~ please be careful and never get into a car or taxi of someone you don't know and trust. Our friend is a Police Officer who first told us about these 'almost' impossible to find prostitution dens. If by some miracle you get rescued your face could end up on the front page of a Kuwaiti newspaper with the headline "Prostitute" instead of victim. You could catch any number of diseases that could even lead to death.
Do not trust any man you don't know who could be a pimp or part of a human trafficking ring. If a taxi driver offers to help you get a better paying job then run like HELL!
Maids please contact your local embassy for help instead of running away. Do not trust anyone that you don't know very well. These stories really break my heart. I can't even imagine the horror of this happening to me or someone I loved. :(
