Two Lebanese and an American acquitted in drug trafficking
Arab Times, Kuwait City, May 4, 2011: The Criminal Court acquitted three men — two Lebanese and an American — of consuming and trading in drugs.
Case files indicate, the three men were arrested when they tried to sell an undisclosed quantity of marijuana to a police officer, who was conducting investigations in this regard.
However, when the officer appeared in court, he failed to respond clearly to the questions posed by the defense lawyer, who asked how did the American confess to the crime since he does not speak Arabic. The court ruled in favor of the trio due to lack of incriminating evidence.
