Arab Times, Kuwait City, May 4, 2011: The Hawalli police have arrested a Kuwaiti woman for drinking alcohol, reports Al-Rai daily.
A police source said the woman was driving a Land Cruiser Jeep and was ordered to pull over for reckless driving.
While issuing a citation police discovered the woman was driving under the influence of alcohol. She added she got drunk when she was having fun with her boyfriend. She also said the boyfriend was also high on alcohol and he beat her and pushed her out of the apartment.
The woman is refusing to file a complaint against the man because he is said to have gifted her Land Cruiser on her birthday.
The drunkard has been referred to a police station.
