28 years ago tonight, the world was robbed of one of the great musical, artistic, and cultural icons of the 20th Century. Much has been written and spoken about the man who was John Lennon, and the legacy of his work, and it’s not for me to add anything more of note. Whilst all things Beatles intrigue, captivate and inspire me, Lennon has always had that added dimension of being a hero of sorts to me. Far from the perfect human being, but an individualist in every sense - the enigmatic ‘working class hero’ - and a song writer of rare distinction.Relive the magic of John Lennon via ‘(Just Like) Starting Over’, the last song to chart for Lennon during his lifetime, and a poignant reminder of what might have been.
Lennon lives on!
